About Michael
Michael's expertise as a vocal teacher comes from his extensive education as well as his own varied performing career. He currently works as a singing teacher and lecturer on the faculty at Italia Conti as well as his own private teaching studio.
Born in Leeds, Michael moved to London where he trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he received a First Class Master of Music in Opera and a First Class Bachelor of Music in Vocal Studies.
Michael believes that singing is more than just vocalisation and that it encompasses a diverse range of skills. His commitment is to help his students sing well but also to encourage them as singers with the ability to make independent choices as artists.
Michael has extensive experience as an educator and performer. Singing lessons are tailored to enable students to develop a secure vocal technique but to also develop as communicators and musicians with the ability to make independent choices as artists. Whether you are a beginner or a professional singer, Michael is committed to helping his students discover and reach their full potential.
